Bare Root Hedging Plants

Bare Root Hedging Plants

i
Cold stored bare roots are now in stock! Kept in cold storage through the season, the plants are specially nurtured but kept in dormancy, meaning these bare roots are in the perfect condition for planting right now.

Bare root hedging comes with stems of varying height with a strong and healthy root system underneath, and is a versatile, cost-effective option for your planting needs. Field-grown and lifted in the colder months when they are dormant, bare root hedges will be delivered to your door and come ready to be planted in your garden. Although the deciduous varieties of bare root hedging may look a little uninspiring when they first arrive, come spring your hedges will be bursting with lush foliage.

Whilst they may not have an immediate impact when planted - like root-balled or pot-grown hedging - with a little time and patience, you will have a thriving hedge that will transform your garden and offer added privacy. We have a wide range available to bring colour and life to your outdoor space.

Planting bare root hedging is simple too: just make sure the ground is prepared, that there is plenty of space for the roots with no air pockets and the hedging is watered sufficiently. Due to the nature of the planting there's a potential failure rate of around 10% on planting due to the exposed roots - however we do offer a full 12 Month Plant Guarantee on all of our plants so you can buy with complete confidence.

If you'd like to find out more about bare root hedging plants and also how they compare to the other types of hedging plants available, we have a helpful Root Types Explained Guide.

To find out everything you need to know about planting hedging - including bare root hedging - we've put together a How to Plant Hedging Guide to help you through the process.
